Purdue experts tour flood damaged corn areas for replanting help
Purdue University agronomists led by A S Thomas visited the county to assist corn planters hit by heavy rains and floods. They met farmers at Henry Hoch to discuss replanting drowned fields and using quick growing seed corn. Replanting is planned for the 20th if weather cooperates.

Rockport Elects First Woman to School Board

Escaped Burglar Captured After Boonville Jail Break
In a Warrick county case McFall and Arkley Stepro escaped from Boonville jail with a hacksaw after robbing a Yankeetown store. McFall fled to Kentucky.
