The Rockport high school will hold its 29th commencement on May 19 in the auditorium. Supt. Mrs Magdalena Brenner a former Rockport Indiana resident died at 8 20 pm at the home of her son Albert Brenner in Herrin Illinois The remains will reach Paducah on the Illinois Central this afternoon and be taken to the home of her daughter Mrs P J Beckenbach 904 South Fourth street where they remain until morning when moving to the German Evangelical church For funeral services at 9 am Rev William Bourguin and burial in Oak Grove cemetery She was born March 17 1830 in Pres de Cernay Alsace Lorraine Germany and came to the United States at fourteen to Rockport Indiana She married Dr C A Brenner about fifty years ago and the family moved to Paducah in 1875 Surviving are three sons Joseph Brenner of Paducah Albert and Louis Brenner of Herrin and another daughter Mrs Mary Wheeler of Herrin The deceased had lived in Paducah with her daughter Mrs Beckenbach until a year ago now with her sons and daughter in Herrin.

Death of Alexander Fishback in Hot Springs
F Fishback received four telegrams confirming the death of his younger brother Alexander Fishback in Hot Springs Arkansas. He died at noon Tuesday of rheumatism. He and their mother left for the funeral which was held on Thursday. The Fishbacks’ home is in Norfolk Nebraska but they were in Hot Springs for health reasons with abs Fishback also quite ill.

Mrs May Williams Bowen died April 6 1908 after a brief pneumonia illness at age 27 3 14. Funeral at Mt Zion with Rev S J Cross conducting. She married Fred Bowen on May 27 1899. a son age 5 and a daughter age 2 survive with her husband her father and mother and two brothers. Mrs Bowen was a devout Christian and member of the M E church at Cross Roads.
