Three Accidents In Area On Ley Roads

Three minor crashes occurred in the Rock Valley area last weekend with no injuries. A Thursday night crash south of Rock Valley involved a car owned by Harald Groth and driven by Diane Wilson, damaging a 1962 Chrysler. Friday saw a collision with a snow plow on Main Street as a car driven by Michael Mackey failed to yield. a summons followed. Saturday a pickup driven by Nick Cleveringa skidded on ice, damaging both vehicles. no summons was issued.

The Federated Woman's Club met November 11 1956 at Mrs Ed Schmidt's home with President Mrs John Graves presiding. Speakers Schmidt Schlecy and Rozeboom recounted the club's history from its 1992 origin as The Literary Circle through civic projects and flower shows. The group highlighted early library efforts, town beautification with zinnia plantings, and the first flower show in a church basement.
