Federated Women Hear Of Progress In Rock Valley
The Rock Valley Federated Womans Club met on Friday November 10 at the Charles Gayer home with Mrs Gayer and Mrs Hegg hosting. Club president Mrs Bonthuis presided and committees were named. The meeting included a report on the Annual Betterment Council, a letter from the National Federated Womans Club Safety Chairman on school buses color, and plans for Community Improvement Program. Guest speaker City Clerk Bill Van Maanen spoke on city projects and proposals including highway improvements, park needs, and city hall remodeling. The meeting also discussed voter lists for ASCS committees and local library book selections and fiction titles.
