Community Club Events Highlight Area Gatherings in Early November
Rock Valley and nearby communities hosted a string of club activities on November 6. Members of the Rock Valley Federated Womans Club attended a Hawarden meeting with a playlet The Sisters McIntosh and a decorative tea. Fellowship Club held an East Bowl outing in Sioux Falls with devotions led by local pastors and a talk by Wilbert Van den Bosch, a Korean War veteran. WSCS programs at the Methodist Church featured Selfhood in Contemporary Films led by Mrs. Owen Manning. A group visited Rock Rapids WSCS, and Bible study on the Book of John was planned for November 11–14 at the Methodist church. Veterans Day weekend visits continued with Dr. and Mrs. Robert Roeloff arriving from Minneapolis, and a family dinner for Greg Roeloff’s seventh birthday.
