Feed Grain Plan Ed 67 Similar to 1966 Program
The 1967 Feed Grain Plan mirrors the 1966 program with a 20 percent minimum diversion and price support paid on 50 percent of base acreage. Farms with feed grain bases 25 acres or less may receive minimum and additional diversion payments. bases over 25 acres receive no diversion payment if feed grains are planted. There will be substitution between wheat and feed grain. sign-up for Wheat and Feed Grain programs will start early 1967. A 5 cent bushel increase in county loan rate for corn is expected, with a soybean loan rate rise anticipated. Sioux County expects higher yields and payments than 1966, and producers will be notified of yields and rates soon. Hay bases may be appealed.
