Kats Machine Shop in Rock Valley was robbed of over 1000 dollars worth of new chain saws and equipment last Wednesday evening. Investigators had a suspect but no arrests as of press time. entry was made by breaking a west side window and at least two perpetrators are suspected.

Summer Ree Board Seeks Instructors For Programs

Four Vehicle Crash on Highway 18 Causes $500 Damage
A four vehicle accident on Highway 18 Thursday, April 27, caused about $500 in damage. Mrs. Ed Klomp of Rock Valley, slowing to pick up a pedestrian, was rear ended by a 1969 Chevrolet pickup driven by George H. Van Beek, who was cited for following too closely. Klomp was treated and released. her car damage was $150, Van Beek’s pickup $250.
