They also seek an updated extra duty pay plan affecting coaches sponsors and department heads. Budget constraints loom as $48250 may not be available.

Community Oil to Open New Station This Saturday
Community Oil marks 50 years serving the area with a grand opening on March 15 at the Highway 18 site. Explosion Rocks Rock Valley Home Area Friday Night
A large blast occurred at about 10 45 p m Friday between two houses on 17th Street in Rock Valley. Police say a home made bomb caused the explosion as fragments were sent to Des Moines for lab analysis. Residents reported their homes trembled and a snow bank held the device. Betterment Council Backs 500 Dollar Gift for Courts
The Rock Valley Betterment Council voted to dedicate a 500 dollar Iowa Community Betterment Contest prize to a four court tennis facility. City Clerk Bill Van Maanen received the award from council president Dwight Hansen who said discussions on spending were ongoing and noted a federal grant application for construction.
