City Council Reviews Preliminary Road Assessment Figures

Five-Year-Old Rescued From Snowpile Saturday
A Rock Valley Fire Department rescue unit was summoned Saturday to a snowpile incident involving a five year old. The child was untangled and treated on scene with no serious injuries reported. Police assisted and no charges were filed.

February brought seven inches of snow and 31 inches of moisture. Northwest winds blew on fifteen days as Shelly Van Otterloo was freed from snow after sliding on a pile. she recovered with minor injuries after a night in hospital.

Supervisors Approve Funding for 17th Street Project in Rock Valley
The county board votes unanimous to provide 78 286 for 17th Street improvements from Main Street to city limits. The project extends the county secondary road system with 8 947 square yards of concrete at 8 75 per yard. Work to begin later this year after January 1 1976.
