Rock Valley to Host Workshop on Community Betterment
Iowa Development Commission names Rock Valley among host communities for a series of workshops on the Community Betterment Program. The Rock Valley session at the local golf club on Monday April 28 at 7 30 p m aims to recruit participants and explain how towns enter the competition.

IPS GETS GO AHEAD ON INTERSECTION LIGHTS
John Vande Kerk of the Iowa Public Service Company says an official order has been issued to install two 400 watt mercury lights at the Highways 18 and 75 intersection. An amber flashing light south of the intersection is also planned at the request of the Iowa Highway Commission to warn motorists at this busy junction.

Community Good Friday Services Set
Several pastors of Rock Water churches sponsor a community Good Friday service on March 28 from 1 30 to 2 45 P M at Trinity Christian Reformed Church with the theme Words From the Cross. Participating churches include First Reformed Pioneer United Methodist Our Savior s Lutheran First Christian Reformed Calvin Christian Reformed and Trinity Christian Reformed. An offering will be received for the American Bible Society. Nursery facilities will be provided for small children. The community is cordially invited.
