Mr and Mrs Walter Levering and Mrs Ann Van Engen attended a belated wedding anniversary party in the Sam Holtop home in Sioux Center Wednesday evening in honor of Gerrit Reinder and his wife 45th anniversary. Mrs Donna Kirschner of Avoca Minnesota spent the weekend with her sister Mrs Butt Rohweller. On Monday they were dinner guests of Mrs Anna McDowell. Bonnie and Wade Gort spent a few days last week with their grandparents Mr and Mrs Jasper Gort. Dr and Mrs Ben Schoeneman of Laverne Minnesota spent Saturday evening with Mr and Mrs Frank Dykstra. The ladies are sisters. Mr and Mrs David Jacobsma and girls of Sheldon were supper guests in the Henry Jacobsma home Saturday. Mrs Lou Laackmann spent Sunday in the Louis Laackmann homes in Luyeme Minnesota.

Funeral services for Mrs. Maas Maassen 68 were held at the Netherlands Reformed church in Sioux Center. She died March 2 in Sioux Center after being born August 1, 1908 in the Netherlands. She married Maas Maassen February 22 1927 in Rock Valley. Survivors include her widow son Raymond of Rock Valley daughters Mrs Jack Rus of Rock Valley and Mrs John Lootwyk and Mrs Andrew Koedam both of Sheldon a brother John E Drigsen of Rock Valley two sisters Mrs Rolena Van Grootheest of Ducn and Mrs Janet Post of Rock Valley and 20 grandchildren.
