Home Decorating Series Opens in Rock Valley with Lessons
Community members are invited to the Home Decorating Series led by Mrs. Ethel Oldaker, extending to a four county area. Sessions run Tuesdays in March at 1:00 p.m. in the V.P.W. Hall Rock Valley, covering room background, color, carpets, furniture, lighting and accessories. If attendance is large, groups will split into morning and afternoon sessions.

Acting Dean Dr Morris Street at Morningside College announced first semester 1999 62 dean's honor list qualifiers. John H Reson son of Mr and Mrs Riessen of Rack Vatley Iowa earned a 3 2117 grade average under Morningside's 4 000 scale. Also noted is Linda Ranschau of Augustana College on the dean's list. HW Voc. School To Double the Courses
North west Town Vocational School will double offerings starting in September after action by the State Board of Public Instruction. Eight current programs will rise to fifteen or sixteen with new courses listed plus an anticipated eighth new program Dietitian's Assistant. Tuition stays at $50 per quarter and most classes will be held in the new NIVS $1,000,000 mechanical technology building slated for completion in May 1988.

Annual limit rises to 4 686 with disability excluded, monthly limit up from 125.00 to 140.90. those 72 or older may receive benefits regardless of earnings. Extension Youth Assistant Is Hired for Sioux County

Sixty Eyes Donated In Iowa Eye Bank Campaign
Ninety one Lowans from Sioux County pledged their eyes after death to the Iowa Lions Eye Bank at University Hospitals aiding corneal transplants for the sightless. Lions Clubs support since 1955 have funded the eye bank, with dozens of recipients so far and a call for more donors during Eye Bank Month.

Northwestern Choir Plans Sacred Concert at First Reformed Church
Northwestern College A Cappella Choir under Professor Lawrence Van Wyk will present its first sacred concert of the season at the First Reformed Church in Rock Valley Iowa on Sunday evening March 3 at 7 39. The program features works by Schutz Gibbons Schiemnting Bach Randall Thompson and Jean Serger plus hymn arrangements. The choir opens its annual sacred concert tour on March 22 with performances in California Arizona Colorado Nebraska South Dakota Minnesota and Iowa. Local singers include Muriel Boeve Deverly Gaalswyk Judy Vogelzang and Jim Van Velde.

Two Plead Guilty To Felony Charges Involving Burglary
Two Alton residents Clair Jay Hulsman aged 20 and Steven Loehr aged 18 pleaded guilty to breaking and entering. The court ordered a pre sentence investigation and set sentencing for March 4 at 9 30. Executives of the estate of William J Heynen were discharged and the estate closed. A suit filed by Eurl N Ridout sought 327 19 and 46 50 in promissory note interest. Several estate reports were approved and executors discharged. The court handled multiple final reports and sales of real estate. A driving under suspension case resulted in weekend jail time. Marriage licenses were issued to six couples. The paper notes student teachers at Rock Valley Christian School from Dordt and Northwestern colleges with profiles of Gail Schaap Jim Vis and Peter Van de Street.
