Registration Set Up At Area Vocational School
Registration for 1969-70 courses at Northwest Iowa Vocational School runs ahead of last year. Enrollment is limited with some classes nearly full. two year programs include Mechanical Technology, Farm Operation, Diesel Mechanics. One year courses cover Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Auto Body Repair, Auto Mechanics, Building Maintenance, Carpentry, Welding, Machine Drafting, Power Lineman. Clerical and Secretarial programs are supported by area employers. Tuition is 60 dollars per quarter starting July 1, with VA benefits approved. A Production Agriculture course for veterans is tentatively set to start August 1.

Christian Teens Join SWIM Program for Mission Work

Fire at Case Visser Farmstead damages corn shelter
Rock Valley fire department responded to a blaze at the Case Visser farmstead four miles northwest of town Friday morning. Exhaust from the corn shelter ignited wires on a machine, burning all wiring. No injuries reported.

Vonk couple named missionary candidates for India posting

They traveled Friday, camped at Hills Park, sang, played games, built a fire, toasted marshmallows, and cooked breakfast Saturday morning.
