Cleveringas To Host German Exchange Student This Year
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Cleveringa traveled to Sioux Falls on July 10 to meet Hanns-Uve Schwedler of Albstedt Germany. Hanns will live with the Cleveringas and attend Western Christian High Hull this year. Also traveling were Kurt Schur and Waltraud Mueller who will live with Hull and Sioux Center area families and attend Sioux Center Community High School and Veyden Hull Community High School respectively.

Robert B. Huibregtse of Orange City filed nomination papers to seek the Republican nomination for Sioux County Attorney in the September 3 primary. A lawyer, Huibregtse is a Hull native with degrees from Central College University of Iowa and Drake Law School, and a 1963 Iowa Bar admission. He served six years in the Army including 17 months in MunSan. He chairs Sioux County Young Republicans and has worked as assistant county attorney in 1964 and as court appointed counsel for indigents and in legal aid internships. He and his wife have three children aged 9, 7 and 3.

A gift of 310, 000 was presented to Northwestern College by an anonymous donor to establish an Endowed Scholarship for students pursuing Christian ministry missionary service or other Christian work. Caravan of Hope Tops $10 300 for Hope Haven Fund
The Caravan of Hope toured Northwest Iowa July 8 to 12 raising money to cover tuition gaps for handicapped students at Hope Haven. It exceeded its $7 000 goal by over 34 000, totaling 16 318 64 with Gary Ballou of Sanborn and the Valley Troubadours leading the effort.

Pollema Boy Involved In Saturday Accident Near Hull
Jerris Pollema, son of Mrs. Sam Pollema of Hull, was in a one car crash two miles east of here at 1 80 a m Saturday. The 1961 Chevrolet was rotated after hitting a telephone pole. He received a summons for failure to have his car under control.

No Special Teal Season In Iowa This Fall
Officials of the Iowa Conservation Commission announce there will be no special teal hunting season this fall in Iowa. An experimental teal season ran for the past three years as researchers study its effects. Regular waterfowl bag limits to be decided in late August.
