High game honors went to Irene Hiessen with 188 and high series to Shirley Hansen with 459. B and H claimed the high team game at 724 and Lipma Elecre led the high team series with 2023. Several bowlers posted 170s or better, including Dotty Dirkson 195 and Agnes Van Zee 114, as various clubs and sponsors competed across Farmer's Lumber, Beverly's, and South Side Service leagues.

Services Held For Herman Helmers
Funeral services for Herman Helmers 92 of Rock Valley were held Monday at St. Pauls Methodist Church in Figin Iowa with Rev Lee Roy Collins officiating. Graveside rites followed in Rock Rapids with many relatives and friends attending. Helmers born November 29 1878 in Oldenburg Germany came to America in 1862 then settled in Rock Valley. He married Bot a Baysinger in 1899 and had four children. He worked with Watkins Products before retiring to the Baumgartner home in 1949. He died January 6 1958 at the Americana Nursing Center Waterloo.
