Lincoln County Crop Show and Home Economics Exhibit Opens
The 20th annual Lincoln County Crop Show and Home Economics Exhibit will be held in Hudson on Feb 26 27 and 28 at the Veterans Memorial Building. Entries include crops baked goods fancywork and art with 600 in cash prizes ribbons for all entries and purple blue and red awards. A pancake feed and cooking school with demonstrations are planned along with a style show and award presentations. A closing variety show Laughing Queen airs Friday night at the high school auditorium.

Oscar DeBoer Recovering After Serious Injury
Oscar DeBoer, who was seriously injured weeks ago in a quick-ring accident, is on the slow road to recovery. He suffered a skull fracture and a broken arm. After surgery at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls he remained unconscious for over a week, with his brother Gertit reporting intermittent periods of consciousness and gradual improvement.

One Minor Auto Accident Reported This Week
The Rock Valley Police Dept recorded one minor auto accident in the past week. David Wesselink on 19th Ave going south and Burwin Van Middendorp on ITth St going west caused about $100 damage to each vehicle. Wesselink received a summons for failure to yield.
