Mrs Alice Faber of Doon dies at home Sunday August 1 and funeral is scheduled Thursday at 1 30 PM at Christian Reform Church Doon with Rev John Elenbaag. Born November 10 1888 in Swea Minn she married Wayne Faber February 1 1811 in Princeberg Minn. Survived by husband three sons Frank Corsica South Dakota Harry Steen Mion Isaac Bellflower Minn five daughters Mrs Alvin Mulder Hock Valley Mrs Dean Kruger Sioux City and Mrs Terry Vari Alsburg Lakewood Calif 24 grandchildren and great grandchildren had lived in Doon 54 years Funeral Home in charge with burial Hillside cemetery at Dison.

Art Van Holland dies in Rock Valley at 51
Funeral services were held for Art Van Holland at Porter Funeral Home with Rev J Van Zweden officiating. He died at Sioux Center hospital after a lengthy illness and had lived in the community for 44 years before retiring from farming. He was born May 26 1897 in Ede Netherlands and is survived by four sons, five daughters, 39 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren along with several siblings. Interment was at Valley View Cemetery. Dawn Renee De Vries born July 25 with family links to Brookings South Dakota.
