The Philathea Class of the Presbyterian church hosted a Halloween event for the Men's Bible Class on Monday night in the church Sunday school rooms. Superlative decor featured hanging fruits and varied games with gongs sung, followed by refreshments as decorations were eaten. Small baskets of chestnuts were distributed to guests.

Waging Great War on Tuberculosis in Halifax County
North Carolina Tuberculosis Association warns Halifax County saw 46 TB deaths last year with eight times as many active cases. Most patients ignore precautions or are unaware of infection. The association offers free medical examinations and promotes TB seal fundraising. Citizens can request examiners by contacting the Sanatorium in North Carolina.

Annual District Meeting of Womans Auxiliary
The Annual District Meeting of the Womans Auxiliary was held at All Saints Episcopal Church with many delegates present. Aurelian Springs Fair Marks Big Community Day
On the 26th the largest fair in Aurelian Springs history drew about fifteen hundred visitors. A parade opened the event with combined bands from Aurelian Springs and Seaboard led by Rev. William Towe. Mrs. Jane McKimmon of Raleigh spoke on practical home management, introduced by Prof. A. E. Akers. Farm, livestock, and poultry exhibits impressed, school displays lagged, refreshments were served by Girl’s Clubs, a traveling show performed, and a basketball game entertained attendees, capping a 1922 landmark community celebration.
