The Elizabeth Montfort Ashe chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held its annual meeting at Mrs Job Taylor’s home with members from Halifax Weldon and Enfield. Officers were mostly reelected, a 60 member count reported, and three members married. Mrs E G Moore reported from Washington and work began on the Constitution House under Dr Taylor’s oversight.

Mrs Joseph Snipes Dies at 75 in South Rosemary
Mrs Joseph Snipes died at her home in South Rosemary on Friday afternoon at age seventy five after a brief illness. Survived by a devoted husband and several children, she was a Rosemary Baptist Church member. Rev A G Carter conducted funeral services at the home and interment was made in the Roa Rapi cemetery.
