The letter requests local firms to offer jobs to graduates who plan to enter the workforce rather than attend college.
Honor student Miss Garriss, a Commercial Club member and daughter of Mr and Mrs Fenton Garrin, received a recognition during exercises at Durham High School in Durham North Carolina on June 3, 1938.
