Roanoke Rapids Recorder's Court processed numerous small cases and local notices. Offenders included bicycle riders on sidewalks and auto violations with fines ranging from one to twenty dollars, plus costs. cases involved alleged assault, improper licenses, and minor theftalike disputes.
The Halifax County Board of Commissioners calls an August first 1919 election to decide issuing five hundred thousand dollars in bonds for county highways and bridges. Elections in Brinkleyville Butterwood Conoconara Enfield Halifax Littleton Faucetts Palmyra Kehokee Roanoke Rapids Weldon Scotland Neck Roseneath wards are listed with registrars and judges.
A rural Christian Sunday School reports the final payoff of a piano debt after a series of weekly offerings. Initial balance was about two hundred dollars with only fourteen eighty six remaining. A second collection covered the shortfall, yielding a small overage, and the group notes prior Sundays contributed about thirteen dollars while the largest single gift reached eighty five dollars fifty cents toward the building fund.

Mrs E Bunn of Henderson and Miss Bessie Joyner of Lyttleton visit Mrs Cooper at the Rosemary Hotel.
