Roanoke Rapids Wins PWA Approval For 32000 Building
After seven months of effort by the City Board of Commissioners the Mayor and Sanitary Board with Kiwanis support the Public Works Administration approved a 32000 municipal building for Roanoke Rapids. The two story brick structure will stand at Roanoke Avenue and 7th Street across from the hospital, housing city offices, sanitary district rooms, a courtroom, police space and a three-truck fire bay with automated doors.
