Negro Youth Wounded In Accidental Brother Fire
A 14 year old Negro, Willie Pierce, was admitted to Roanoke Rapids Hospital with a bullet wound in the left shoulder after riding a bicycle into his brother’s line of fire. The 17 year old brother Jesse said he fired at a hawk and the shot hit Willie by accident. The sheriff’s department continued its investigation as Willie’s condition improved slightly.
