State Championship Contests Set for March at UNC Chapel Hill
The sixth annual North Carolina high school state basketball championship will be held in March at Bynum Gymnasium Chapel Hill under the University Bureau of Extension and Athletic Association. Eastern and western sectional champions will meet in the final. Teams must win three games by Feb 21 or a three-fourths win rate if more games were played. Committee members include N W Walker E R Rankin C T Woollen Lester E Bond and Joe Person. The committee pays half travel and provides entertainment for visiting teams. Winston Salem led with three titles since 1915, Durham two. The UNC Y M C A secretary W R Wynch reports an international Y M C A records rating placing the Winston-Salem group above average in most counts, with four top counts including Bible study and church association work.

Rev H F Morton Dies in New York
News arrives of the death in a New York hospital of Rev H F Morton former pastor of the Roanoke Rapids Presbyterian Church. He died Friday of pneumonia and his remains were interred Sunday. He was a son of the late Dr I M D Morton a leading Presbyterian preacher in the state.

Uniform System of Health Work Proposed for Counties
A plan to unify the county health office program into eight units was endorsed by a Raleigh conference. The State Board of Health will consider the resolution next Monday as applications from four more counties push the total toward 20.
