Junior Order Reception Draws Community Members in Rain

Robbery Hits Patterson Mills and Local Stores

Mr John W House Moves to Wilson as Secretary Treasurer

Miss Annie Cherry Drives NC to Lead in Savings Society Contest
North Carolina school supervisors push to win the savings society contest against Virginia and South Carolina. Death of Frederick M. Hight Prominent Rosemary Marshals
Frederick M. Hight, a promising Rosemary businessman who managed the Patterson Store Co., died at Roanoke Hospital after a four month illness. He arrived with his family last September and, though brief, made many friends. He was an Episcopal Church communicant, choir member, and Mason. Funeral services were held in Henderson with interment there.

A H Horner Dead J M Underwood Travels To Goldsboro
J M Underwood, leader of the Loyal Order of Moose, traveled to Goldsboro after news of A H Horner’s death. Horner, once a Roanoke Rapids resident and Moose member, left a funeral benefit of 100 dollars for his widow. Arrangements are being made to provide the widow and two children a home at Mooseheart for education and trade training.
