Raven Creek Farm wins LSRCD conservation award in 2010
Raven Creek Farm owned by Roger and Cathy Desilets near Oakburn Manitoba receives the 2010 Conservation District award from the Little Saskatchewan River Conservation District at a Manitoba conference. The Desilets run a 10 acre organic market garden and beekeeping operation with value added products including alfalfa wildflower honey, honey butter, beeswax candles, and skin care items. Their family of six supports itself with a low impact lifestyle and strong local sourcing, while engaging in community groups and watershed protection efforts.
