Dolton man Frank Zula recovered his hopes after a Gary Ind. trap led to the capture of Nick Uzelar. Zula handed over $2,600 in cash under a demand for $1,000 to retrieve it, only to find a trunk full of newspapers and a few one dollar bills. The case moves to the county jail and grand jury.

The Schwartz Grocery and Market at 417 Chicago Street in Dolton was badly damaged by a fire at 2 45 last Monday. William Lawall a C E I engineer reported the blaze and helped save the property with Dalton fire department. Riverdale fire department assisted and contents were a total loss.

Mother and Son Die in South Dakota Auto Crash
A long distance message reports that K S Putnam's sister Mrs Bayard Beach and her son Bayard Jr were killed in a Sunday afternoon auto accident near Huron South Dakota. The Beach family was en route to visit relatives when the crash occurred. Mrs Mary Putnam and her daughter-in-law Mrs Harry Rick left for Huron to assist.
