South Holland Tap Water From Delton Main Approved
Delton village board passed an ordinance granting South Holland the right to tap the Delton water main at 154th street and Chicago Road. A contract sets a charge of 18 cents per thousand gallons, monthly collections, and a three year term with renewal. The meter costs and installation are borne by South Holland. If the meter fails, monthly consumption will use a 12 month average. The ordinance also restricts water distribution to within South Holland’s corporate limits. The Sanitary District of Chicago ordinance was also passed with a clause revision.
