A Riverdale pullman district push to relocate the old 1874 school at Indiana and Leyden to a new site at 138th and Prairie Ave gains support. Notable Guests Tour Historic Sites of Cook County

General Leroy T. Steward Scout Commissioner and former Chicago police chief, along with G. Frank Aldrich and Otto F. Reich, visited riverdale landmarks. They reviewed the Girard house near 134th Street, Thornton’s old village and brewery site, Sauk trail, and Paris fort locations. Armistice Day Program Highlights Local Observance

Armistice Day observance organized by Paul Gall Post American Legion included all local schools, a Lincoln Avenue to Riverdale Park procession led by Harvey Drum and Bugle Corps, and a park program with a Pal mer Edwards address. Evening banquet at St Pauls School Hall featured speeches by Bright Kellogg Boyle Poorman Edwards Robinson. Spencer Corps W R C drill of 16 ladies and St Pauls Junior orchestra provided music. Oscar Reich led songs.

Scarlet Fever Strikes Dolton Family Width Four Other Cases Reported

Dolton village trustee Paul M. Smith and his family are convalescing from scarlet fever after a recent outbreak that also includes four other local cases: Lillian Krueger, Constance Trostolonius, Vera Born, and LaFerne Miller. The health department and Board of Education warn of transmission risk and urge precautions as the children live in separate areas of the village.
