Gas Stove Explosion Injures Three At Blue Island Masonic Hall
A gas stove exploded during a St Pauls Evangelical Lutheran church supper at the Masonic Temple in Blue Island at 8 15 p m. Two women Mrs Arthur Dost and Mrs Frank Sauervier suffered severe burns around the eyes and Mrs A Royce was driven to safety with nervous shock. The blast filled the kitchen with gas after an open unlit jet was left burning and was ignited by a burner.

Grandma Daley, who celebrated her 101st birthday on Oct 26, fell Monday evening while fetching the evening paper, broke her wrist and shoulder, and received medical care at the Community hospital where Dr. Kollar reduced the fracture. She is improving and optimistic about recovery.
