Poppy Day Drive Set Across Illinois May 27
Poppy Day on May 27 aims to raise funds for war veterans across Illinois. Young mother dies in tragic Belmon t blaze at 1351 Belmont
Ida Zoller Riley formerly of Riverdale and Mrs William J Riley died after a kitchen fire caused by naphtha oil explodes at a bungalow purchase down town. Firefighter bystander saved the 2 year old Gloria as flames enveloped the mother. Inquest blamed the oil can and naptha. Funeral set for Saturday at St Alphonsos Southport Ave. Interment St Boniface.
