The Riverdale Improvement Association held its monthly meeting Tuesday evening. Members discussed extending Peoples Gas mains if enough property owners sign on, cement walks on the north side to be built by court order, and building on the south side to go to court soon. They urged aldermen to improve street conditions, and ME form presented a petition to extend the street car line to Riverdale with a cross at 127th or 130th Street. Horn noted Chicago City Railway President Mitten said the company would not cross the Illinois Central tracks at 134th Street and would not go through the dump.

Big trenching machine arrives to dig long sewer line
A 32 ton trenching machine built by Monahan Bros. Joliet delivers power from a 160 horsepower gasoline engine. It will cut a trench 20 feet deep and feet wide to lay seven miles of sewer through Dalton. A smaller tiling machine accompanies the big bay as work is expected to progress rapidly.
