Riverdale residents invited to an Open House at the Village Hall with police and fire departments this Saturday and Sunday May 4 and 5 to review facilities. Riverdale, once centered at 237th St and Wabash Ave, grew after annexation of Ivanhoe making the 1895 village hall location inadequate. A proposed new municipal building at 142nd St and Tracy Ave is presented as a more central site for 1950s needs.
