Riverdale approves paving 138th Street hearing unanimous

At a public hearing of Riverdale Board of Local Improvements the paving of 138th street from Panhandle tracks to Halsted street was approved with broad owner support. County and state will pave 20 feet wide while owners pay for 10 feet each side. Highlawn sewer completion enables the project and paving will begin soon. Robert Hanschman Otto Wagner and Christ Schmutzler left for Fremont Wisconsin for a fishing trip.

Robbers Strike Soft Drink Parlor In Tuesday Night Hold Up

Three men entered George Tuch's parlor last Tuesday evening and robbed the till of 18 dollars. They took 47 dollars from a customer and ordered the men to lie down, then turned out the lights and searched for more. They warned victims to stay still or face a bullet as Chief Decklar started his rounds, leaving with the loot.
