Mrs. Ernest Hanschman left for Saxony Germany last Wednesday to visit her old home for three months. She was accompanied to Lawrence Massachusetts by her husband son Harry brother Otto Wagner and Miss Augusta Ludwig. Hanschman will sail next Wednesday. The group will visit Lawrence for several weeks before returning home. Max Staab received a birthday surprise last Saturday as children and grandchildren gathered at his Dalton home for a family reunion over the holiday. Dr Charles B Alexander of Harvey gave Mayor Frank W Bruggemann a cinnamon bear weeks ago. The animal sits in an abandoned pheasant cage in the city park as gifts of muskrats pheasants cats squirrels rabbits mink and even Madam Queen’s skunk flood in. The mayor says a zoo may emerge and notes the bear is friendly to him as he manages an expanding correspondence load.
