At a Dolton Village Board meeting, all members present, no bids were received to waterproof the village water reservoir. The project will be studied for thirty days to seek a guaranteed solution. Leaks were found by Village Engineer Suhr after draining the reservoir, though losses are not hindering operations.
Attorney William F. Propper, state representative from the 7th District, found a pearl the size of a pea in a fried oyster during lunch at a restaurant on Michigan Avenue. X rays show the pearl may be worth hundreds of dollars, and chefs will likely inspect oysters more closely.
Dalton and Riverdale children risk crossing in front of trains at the Indiana Harbor Belt crossing on Lincoln Avenue. Adults often lead by example as youngsters five to fourteen hurry along tracks to save minutes, despite the danger. Editorial urges parents and authorities to educate youths about the deadly risk and halt the practice before a tragedy occurs.

Henry Wilkins and sons Roy and Arthur travel to Kolla Missouri to visit Mr Wilkins parents for a week. Horace Holmes returns from Battle Creek Sanitarium improving health findings.
The new St Pauls bowling alleys on 138th street opened to the public on Sunday Nov 20 1927. A four team league Hausmans Colts Schmutzlers Shell Boosters G L Band American Legion was formed with first matches set for Dec 5 1927 at 7 30 p m. A box of cigars will be donated for the high game scorer.
Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Dolton until 8 PM Monday December 5 1927 for equipment to remove snow from sidewalks. The board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. William G Dolton Village Clerk.

The Waucons closed their season by beating Roseland Berries 6 to 0 at Roseland Kerry-Waucon stadium. Manager Fred Dunn of Acme Steel Company led the Wallcons through a heavy schedule, with both teams finishing despite early-season setbacks.
At the next regular meeting of Calumet Camp 5142 there will be election of officers. Clerk C. W. Berger notes the meeting date as Thursday in the week.
Betty Jane Vanderlinde, 13 months old daughter of William Vanderlinde, contractor, Dalton, fell from a high chair at breakfast Saturday. Her lip split and bleeding could not be stopped. She died Monday morning at Roseland Community hospital. The family lives behind the Dalton hardware store and has five other children.
New Ford models are here after months of waiting with only four in Chicago and 80 on display. The factory will soon produce thousands. prices align with the current model. Four door sedans start at 495 dollars, sport coupe at 550, roadsters at 385 to 395, and coupe/pickup chassis options vary.
The Legion announces a Bunco party for tomorrow evening at the Dalton village hall with at least twelve prizes. An informal dance follows the prize ceremony with Howard Nelson providing music on his concertino as local folks gather for the event.
A. G. Hartz, former Dalton soft drink parlor owner, was found dead with a bullet on a Drainage Canal bridge in Blue Island last Thursday. Prohibition agents beat Chas. Holden at John White's place after Hartz's death as authorities questioned Hartz’s associates seen with him.
Eldred Axtell aged ten from Dalton was taken to the hospital this week for treatment of mastoiditis. He had previous treatment for the condition and hopes are raised that the illness will be overcome.
