Mrs. Astrid Berg was robbed at the Ivanhoe I C platform while waiting for a suburban train. A Black suspect, 19-year-old Richard Oliver, fled but was captured after a local pursuit. He faced robbery and attempted robbery charges, held on $25,000 bonds each, and was sent to county jail.

Death of Frieda Reich at 28 in Riverdale
Frieda Emma Reich died suddenly last Monday at 5 am after a brief illness of heart trouble. Born June 11, 1898 in Riverdale, she helped with daily paper distribution as a girl. She leaves her widowed mother, two sisters Adella and Martha, and three brothers Arthur Oscar and Martin. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 pm at the home and St. Paul’s church with interment at Oakland cemetery.
