Dalton Civilian Defense leaders announce a Saturday April 18 salvage collection to aid the nation and fund council activities. Residents are urged to curb scrap from homes basements attics and garages and place items on the curb for pickup with help for heavy objects if needed. Driver Crashes Through Two Cars and Pole in Riverdale
Charles Cook of Dalton loses control Sunday April 5 causing his car to hit two parked cars and a telephone pole at 188th and La Salle. Police estimate skids of fifty five and forty feet after the first collision. trunk and left rear fender damaged. Owner of Cook’s car is H Haeger of Dalton. Cook’s car belonged to C Wilbur of Frankfort Illinois and was moved to Hastings garage in Dolton.
