Concert Corazon at Candren Campus

Central New Mexico hosts Concert Corazon on the Candren campus at 3001 Trellis Drive NE Albuquerque from 2 to 5 pm. Hillary Smith and the Brethren headline with jazz funk blues and soul. Opera program and senior Olympics events at area venues

Kaplan will contextualize an opera during a 6 30 p m talk at Esther Bone Memorial Library with Cammy Cook performing arias from the production. New Mexico Senior Olympics hosts a free shuffleboard clinic and fitness workshop 8 a m to 2 p m at Bernalillo Recreation Center with health screens and mini tournaments. Admission is free.

Oct sana mia as Casino hosts stand up with Jay Lafarr a New Yorker now in Texas delivering edgy personal humor. Danny Ingle who faced stage fright turned to performing after an open mic in San Antonio. Keith Breckenridge a New Mexico staple blends Texan roots with Land of Enchantment vibes. Marketplace closes season with Christmas show and gifts

The Idalia Road Marketplace ends the season with a first Christmas show of the year and a free raffle Sunday at 1 p.m. Vendors offer art crafts services and products with green chile roasting and last sweet corn. Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festival returns to Expo New Mexico

The Big White Tent will rise on Expo New Mexico Fairgrounds over the first two October weekends. A juried lineup of about 250 artists from across the nation fills the one acre pavilion with painting pottery sculpture and jewelry. Regional bands perform while visitors browse demonstrations, savor Indian tacos margaritas and local beers, and enjoy live horse racing as Albuquerque embraces fall culture.
