Stars fade from scene in New Mexico indoor football

The New Mexico Stars, active at Santa Ana Star Center from 2012 to 2016 with a 2015 reboot hiatus, have ceased operations after co-owner Tracy Duran moved to Mississippi. The team averaged about 1,200 per game last season, and talks of a sale failed to mature. The ending marks another Rio Rancho pro indoor exit, leaving Duke City Gladiators as the metro area’s sole indoor team.
