New Mexico HSD to raise dental fees for Medicaid

The state Department of Human Services plans a October 1 dental fee schedule to reduce rates for low income families. The 5.5 million increase expands Medicaid payments by 50 percent, affecting about 295,000 Medicaid-eligible residents. Officials say the change won’t ease dentist shortages in rural areas. The National Atomic Museum on Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque marks 30 years with Millie’s War performances and a book fair. General admission is 2 dollars. youths under 16 enter free. a shuttle runs from nearby gates 9 to 4:30. The museum is run by the DOE and Sandia National Laboratories, managed by Lockheed Martin.

Udall and Wilson hail passage of Veterans Health bill

Rep Heather Wilson and Rep Tom Udall praised House passage of the Veterans Millennium Health Care Act by 369 to 46. The bill aims to reform VA health care for better access, timeliness and quality with an estimated $14 million in 2000 and $1.4 billion in 2004. Udall called it a common sense bipartisan measure for veterans. Wilson said it expands needed services.

RRPS Web site Goes Live Rio Rancho District Announces Online Presence

Rio Rancho Public Schools unveiled its district web site on September 9 after internal testing by Information Management Services Director Richard Bruce. Rob Clark will serve as webmaster. school coordinators are to be chosen soon. The site hosts mission statements, administrator listings, news, and links, with plans to expand to classroom pages and more features.
