The City of Rio Rancho Parks and Recreation sponsored preschool tumbling at Star Heights Recreation Center from today through November 23. Ages three to five will learn balance, coordination and flexibility. Registration is at City Hall 3900 Southern Blvd and more information is available by calling 891-7204.
West Mesa High School will offer GED classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. in the library media center. For details call Norma Bobotis at 831-6993 during school hours.
Sandoval County 4 H clubs begin a new year with October as the start. Last year 664 youths participated and a program for ages five to seven was added this year. The 4 H program promotes family involvement, self confidence and leadership for tomorrow's communities with members active in topics from bugs to computers. For information, contact the Sandoval County Extension Service at 867 2582.
By mid September Rio Rancho will host two Head Start classes at Rio Rancho Elementary School serving 40 preschool children with hours from 8 30 a m to 2 30 p m. The Sandoval County Economic Development Corp runs it providing meals medical dental services and parent activities.
School menus list weekly breakfast and lunch options for ScHool MEnus Big Rancho and Albuquerque Public Schools. Entries include Belgium waffles French toast sticks breakfast pizzas pancakes meatball hoagie steak fingers turkey submarine chicken nuggets hot dogs and more with sides such as juice milk fruit vegetables and breads.
