Star Center finances mix subsidies and growth in Rio Rancho
Star Center General Manager Shane Cadwell and Geisel describe a financial path funded by subsidies, growing attendance, and aggressive event booking via Spectra Venue Management. In 2014 2015 the center drew about 300 000 attendees across all events while hosting 131 ticketed events. The facility aims to cut subsidies through more shows, better marketing, and local staffing.
