SSCAFCA directors voted to join the Middle Rio Grande Council of Governments, gaining access to quarterly meetings and a review channel for proposed projects. Treasurer Annette Jones will represent SSCAFCA with John Chaney as alternate, alongside other regional agencies including the Albuquerque flood control authority and Sandoval County cities. The board also awarded a one year maintenance contract to Rick Eldridge and discussed shore up of a subsiding drainage channel at a cost of 15 000 to 20 000 dollars. Sandoval County's funding decision for two Rio Rancho ponds remains pending with a possible November reply.
