Rio Rancho Elementary reports attempted abduction
A seven year old Rio Rancho Elementary pupil was allegedly grabbed on the Sept 22 recess by a man who dragged her behind a building and pressed a knife to her throat. The assailant fled toward Las Marias Drive after being alerted by students. The suspect is described as a light complexioned man with black hair, about 5 foot 10, wearing dark overalls with many pockets and a leather bottom. DPS continues the investigation. no stranger abduction had been previously reported in Rio Rancho.
