Odor dispute surrounds MLK septic system at Albuquerque school
Richard Garcia, father of two MLK students, accuses the school’s septic pump system of causing illnesses from pungent fumes. NMED says odors are not health hazards though they may be unpleasant. APS, ARPS, and city officials have struggled to fix odor, with tests, as-built plans, and venting changes underway but no solution yet.
