RRHS Grad Goals Doctorate After Rhodes Bid Falls Short
Kandis Wright, Rio Rancho High School Class of 2005, lost a Rhodes Scholarship shot but won admission to UNM Medical School with a 4.12 GPA and dean’s list honors. She remains upbeat about medicine while reflecting on the slim odds and recalling coaches and teachers who supported her. Wright traveled widely, enjoys triathlons, and has memories of Beijing and Oxford, where she would have studied if selected.
