City selects Westside Court site for A Park Above in Rio Rancho

Six acres at the end of Westside Court in southern Rio Rancho have been earmarked for A Park Above an all ages all abilities park with access to the Cabezon trail system. City Parks Director Jay Hart aims to break ground next August or September and notes the site’s wind protection and parking capacity with room for expansion.

Cabezon subdivision land sale in Rio Rancho exceeds $20 million

Curb North Inc. lists over 600 acres in Rio Rancho from the Cabezon subdivision with residential, commercial and undeveloped lots. Excalibur Realty’s Mike Skolnick says the offerings include ready to build plots and sites with basic utilities requiring upgrades before construction.

Recount Bid Looms After Ballot Impoundment in Sandoval

In Sandoval County two GOP candidates Doyle and Papponi seek a possible recount after ballots were impounded at their request. The results for Sapien, Garbagni, and other races were certified on Nov 15, with state police guarding ballots. A judge will decide on Democrats' petition next Monday as candidates await potential recount scope.
