Polish Mariavite church offers traditional Oplatki wafers
Founded in 1893 in Poland the Mariavite Old Catholic Church plans to preserve a centuries old Christmas Eve tradition by making traditional Polish Oplatki wafers available to area readers. Wafers are embossed with Nativity scenes and shared during the Vigil Supper. Envelopes of three wafers cost 3.50 with proceeds aiding Polish orphans. requests open through December 15.
