City seeks public input on Rio Rancho budget for 2015-16

The Rio Rancho Governing Body schedules the first public comment session for the 2015-16 budget during the regular meeting at City Hall at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Public hearings follow on Wednesday and May 27 before a May 27 vote. The fiscal year runs July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. The manager proposes over 55.8 million in general fund revenue and about 52.2 million in expenditures. Additional items include a $927,000 state grant for dispatch equipment replacement, $34,800 from seized assets for police vehicles and gear, and a $143,000 grant for library resources.

Sunland real estate inquiry probes rent, deposits in Rio Rancho

Lederman says April rent of 1050 and a 1050 security deposit remain unpaid by Sunland Realty or Sunland Property Management. Police advise affected customers to review records and contact investigators at 891-7226 as officials sort Sunland entities from Double R Realty in an embezzlement case sent to the district attorney.
